Trailer Cutdowns 2021
In 2021, I embarked on my first year of trailer editing, diving headfirst into the exciting world of creating trailer cutdowns. This year was a fantastic learning experience, filled with challenges and new skills. I had the chance to work on a range of titles, each with its own unique twist, from translating trailers into different languages to crafting non-dialogue cuts.
Here are some of the standout titles I worked on:
- Emma (Italian language)
- The Man Who Invented Christmas (French language)
- Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivfรผhrer (German language)
- En la Corte del Principito (Spanish language)
- Hausen (Dutch language) – non dialuge cut
- The Hangover Part III (French language, non dialogue cut) โ Fun fact: In French, itโs called “Very Bad Trip” ๐
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring โ Non-dialogue cut
- Rec 4: Apocalypse (French language)
One of the unique challenges was creating non-dialogue cuts, where we had to craft compelling trailers without the aid of dialogue translations. It was a fantastic challenge that pushed me to be more inventive with the visual and musical elements to keep the trailers engaging.
This project was a fantastic way to dive into trailer editing and learn the ropes of making impactful and concise content.
